Natalie is a Director in our Built Environment department and specialises in property development and planning law matters.
Since qualifying as a solicitor, Natalie has developed a specialism in property development and planning law matters having acted for residential and commercial property developers in purchasing sites (including via option agreements and complex conditional contracts) and advised landowners on entering into arrangements with property developers and energy and infrastructure providers (including land promotion and project management agreements, conditional contracts and option agreements).
In addition, Natalie has drafted, negotiated and advised developers and landowners on the terms of new and existing planning and infrastructure agreements, overage arrangements and pre-emption rights.
Natalie was recognised in the Legal 500 UK Solicitors 2024 rankings as a next generation partner.
Experience
- Advised landlords and tenants on commercial leases and leasehold management, particularly in the hospitality and office sectors.
- Acted on the sale, purchase and re-mortgaging of a range of commercial properties.
- Provided support to the commercial disputes and insolvency departments on contentious property matters.
- Acted for high-net-worth individuals on the sale and purchase of more complex residential properties/estates.
- Oversaw residential plot sales.
- Advised the administrators of a global engineering company on the sale of the company’s property interests for more than £5m.
- Represented a local authority’s development subsidiary in relation to various development transactions, including the sales “off plan” of 61 newly constructed affordable housing residential units.
- Acted on the sale of a complicated development site subject to planning permission for a 70-apartment care facility.
- Advised landowners in relation to a Promotion and Project Management Agreement with a property developer.
- Represented a property developer in a complex purchase and sub-sale of a site intended for affordable housing.
- Acted on the sale of a portfolio of commercial properties worth in excess of £6m.
- Advised on the sale of part of a large multi-let estate with development potential on the sellers’ adjoining land.
