Emma has a wide range of commercial property experience in dealing with a variety of matters for a diverse set of clients.
Having previously worked for over six years at a local authority, Emma has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience from her local authority background to private practice, where she advises on a variety of commercial property matters.
Emma frequently advises clients on all aspects of landlord and tenant matters, particularly in office, retail and industrial sectors. She regularly acts on disposals, acquisitions and real estate financing matters for clients. She also advises various clients within the healthcare sector in relation to disposals, acquisitions and leases.
Emma deals with planning and infrastructure agreements in connection with wider developments and has a growing involvement in larger-scale development projects. She also works closely with the firm’s corporate and commercial teams to assist with any property elements of their transactions.
Experience
- Acted on the purchase of an occupied multi-let student accommodation block in the Tees area for circa £1.2m.
- Dealt with the property elements in respect of 9 properties on a sale of the entire share capital of a large recruitment agency.
- Advised the administrators of the Vale of Mowbray on the sale of the company’s assets valued in excess of £6m, comprising £5.8m of real estate.
- Acted for Teesmouth Seal Conservation Trust in taking a 30 year lease from PD Ports to occupy a disused lifeboat building to create the first dedicated welfare and rehabilitation facility for seals and coastal conservation in the Tees region.
- Assisted a local council with title review and certificate of title preparation so they were able to benefit from circa £4 million of grant funding to carry out improvements to enhance the cultural and arts offering in the Tees area.
