The Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 Awards were launched in 1998 with The Journal to celebrate the region's fastest-growing, privately-owned companies.
Each year we objectively compile a list of the region’s Top 50 fastest growing businesses. These organisations are the lifeblood of the economy and the Fastest 50 provides the perfect opportunity to recognise the North East’s key players in business and celebrate them on a wider scale.
The Fastest 50 champions regional companies, highlighting success and innovation, to inspire those who work in business.
The Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 for 2023 was revealed on 13th October.
Congratulations to Re:Gen North East Limited who were crowned the North East’s Fastest Growing Business for 2023, as well as taking the Fastest Growing Medium Business (turnover between £10m and £30m) title. Double Eleven Limited won the award for the Fastest Growing Large Business (turnover over £30m), whilst Aspect Facades Limited were named Fastest Growing Small Business (turnover less than £10m).
We are delighted to reveal this incredible line-up of businesses. Collectively, these 50 regional powerhouses are projecting a story of sustained growth in tough times through innovation, efficiency and skills. They really are the heroes of the region’s economy!
