Imogen is a Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation team. Having completed her training with the firm before qualifying in March 2023, Imogen has gained insight into a wide range of sectors meaning she is well placed to understand and assist in the needs and concerns of her clients. Imogen advises businesses of all sizes as well as private individuals on a variety of commercial disputes.
Imogen assists the team with a broad range of commercial disputes including judicial reviews, company and shareholder disputes, privy council matters, professional negligence claims, contractual disputes and insurance claims. Imogen has developed considerable experience assisting on large-scale trials and public enquiries, covering planning, construction and PFI disputes and has also developed particular expertise using a range of legal technology such as document review and bundling software. This means that Imogen is well placed to take any matter from pre-action through to trial with a keen eye for strategy throughout.
Imogen has two years of debt recovery experience prior to training as a solicitor and is able to use this broader knowledge when advising clients on appropriate courses of action to resolve their disputes, including through to enforcement of any judgments or debts. Imogen has experience in public inquiries, corporate transactions and construction matters allowing her to effectively assist her clients in a range of practice areas, tailoring her skills and expertise to their specific requirements.
Experience
Imogen has assisted with a variety of commercial disputes, including:
- Acting for corporate clients in various commercial judicial review proceedings
- Acting as an agent for overseas litigants who are bringing or defending appeals before the Privy Council including assisting with Costs Applications
- Working on substantial e-disclosure and document review processes including as part of a multi-million pound claim in the Technology and Construction Court
- Analysing and advising on a variety of franchise, director and shareholder disputes
- Advising on a variety of complex contractual disputes
- Mediations and without prejudice meetings between the parties in respect of professional negligence, loss of chance and loss of profit claims
- Insurance claims with a focus on IT disputes
