Eight new Associates at Ward Hadaway

EIGHT lawyers have been promoted to the position of Associate at leading North law firm Ward Hadaway.
Lucy Cleghorn, Richard Greensit, Victoria Lowrie, Rachael McCartney, Steven Roper, Gemma Jackson, Koby Gyasi and Laura Potts are now all Associate Solicitors at the firm, which operates from offices in Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester.
The eight lawyers operate in a wide range of different practice areas across the firm in different office centres and their promotions demonstrate the breadth of services which Ward Hadaway offers to clients.
Six of the new Associates are based in the firm’s Newcastle office.
Lucy Cleghorn works in the Commercial Litigation team and has experience of advising on a wide range of commercial disputes including professional negligence and contractual disputes for individuals and businesses of all sizes.
Healthcare specialist Richard Greensit acts on behalf of many NHS Trusts, the NHS Litigation Authority and the Medical Protection Society in the defence of high value clinical negligence litigation. He also provides representation for health Trusts at inquest and advice on complex healthcare issues.
Victoria Lowrie is part of the Property Litigation team where she acts for commercial landlords and tenants, lenders, public sector clients and private individuals in a variety of property disputes.
Employment lawyer Rachael McCartney advises a range of employers in the public and private sectors on issues such as discrimination and unfair dismissal claims and she also works with HR professionals providing support on day to day employment matters.
Steven Roper is a member of Ward Hadaway’s Company and Commercial team. His practice covers a wide range of commercial clients, from sole traders to PLCs, advising on contractual matters and corporate governance issues.
Gemma Jackson is a specialist in insolvency and corporate recovery matters, advising a broad spectrum of clients in both a corporate and personal insolvency context and undertaking a range of associated complex investigatory work.
Koby Gyasi is also a member of Ward Hadaway’s Insolvency and Corporate Recovery team. Based in Leeds, he has a broad experience in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and has acted for insolvency practitioners as well as individuals, advising on corporate and personal insolvency matters.
Also based in Ward Hadaway’s Leeds office, property lawyer Laura Potts acts for a wealth of commercial property clients including developers, quasi-non governmental organisations and charities, as well as providing property support to the firm’s corporate and insolvency teams and their clients.
