Video – Employment Law Update 15 July 2025

Watch the recording of our July Employment Law Update.

Hosted by Jamie Gamble, Natasha Mills and Ian Abel, all specialists in Employment law. During this webinar, they provided insights and information to help your business successfully navigate any incoming changes to employment law.

Key takeaways

  • In individual redundancy cases that don’t involve collective consultation, it is important to allow employees to comment on and challenge (if appropriate) the reasons for the redundancy and ways of avoiding the redundancy, the selection criteria and their scores against the criteria. When moving on to consider alternative employment opportunities employers should do more than provide a list of vacancies and should put some effort into exploring what roles the employee may be interested in, even if that is a move away from the type of work they were doing.
  • Ensure to keep an eye out for the EHRC updated guidance in due course and continue to treat all staff with respect and dignity.
  • Keep up to up to date with the latest changes to Employment Law and take proactive measures, where possible, to ensure that your organisation is ready to comply with the Employment Rights Bill before changes are implemented.

Please note that this briefing is designed to be informative, not advisory and represents our understanding of English law and practice as at the date indicated. We would always recommend that you should seek specific guidance on any particular legal issue.
