Ward Hadaway announces sponsorship of Manchester Rising Stars Fund, reinforcing its commitment to Backing Ambition

Ward Hadaway has announced a 12 month partnership with We Love MCR Charity, becoming an official sponsor of the Manchester Rising Stars Fund.

The Rising Stars Fund supports young Mancunians who face significant barriers to education, training and employment. Through bursaries and tailored support, it helps open doors to opportunity and enables talented young people to reach their full potential. Every pound raised by We Love MCR Charity stays in Manchester, directly benefiting communities across the city.

The partnership reflects Ward Hadaway’s wider commitment to backing ambition in Greater Manchester. The firm recently reported record financial results, part of a fifth consecutive year of growth nationally. Their Backing Ambition ethos recognises that growth happens when people are supported to think bigger and make confident decisions about their future. By sponsoring the Rising Stars Fund, the firm is extending the same philosophy into the city region.

Over the course of the year, Ward Hadaway will provide financial support to the fund and work closely with the charity to recruit a deserving young person who will receive dedicated, ongoing support for the following 12 months. The partnership will also see the firm highlight the impact of this support, helping to spread the word about the great work We Love MCR Charity does.

We Love MCR Charity, the Lord Mayor of Manchester’s charity, improves the lives and life chances of Manchester residents, particularly those in greatest need. Alongside the Rising Stars Fund, it supports local groups and projects through its Stronger Communities Fund, helping build resilience and opportunity across the city.

For Ward Hadaway, the sponsorship is a natural step for a firm that places entrepreneurs and growing organisations at the heart of its work. By supporting young people with ambition and potential, the firm aims to contribute to a stronger pipeline of talent for Manchester’s future economy. The partnership reflects Ward Hadaway’s commitment to responsible business, supporting its focus on making a positive impact on communities, people and the planet.

Liz Bottrill, Executive Partner of Ward Hadaway’s Manchester office said: “We know that backing ambition and talent early can make all the difference. The Manchester Rising Stars Fund gives young people the guidance and opportunities they need to reach their potential, and we are proud to play a part in supporting them.”

Simon Wright, We Love MCR Charity said: It’s inspiring to see another leading Manchester business step forward with such purpose and ambition by supporting our Manchester Rising Stars Programme. Ward Hadaway’s commitment to backing local talent aligns perfectly with our mission, and we’re excited to work alongside them to bring this vision to life.”
