Sophie Smith

Sophie advises on all aspects of employment law. She has experience in defending Employment Tribunal claims for bus and rail operators as well as other transport and manufacturers.

Sophie has conducted advocacy with success both in and out of Tribunal. She specialises in claims ranging from discrimination, unfair dismissal to handling complaints in relation to flexible working requests and has considerable experience in getting claims struck out on limitation or other technical jurisdictional grounds at both the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal.

Sophie has acted on large scale projects that have involved advising on settlement/ exit agreements in the context of a business transfer. Her experience includes advising on other non-contentious matters such as data protection issues, drafting employment contracts, policies and procedures.
