Josh is a Trainee Solicitor in our Corporate team, based in our Newcastle office.
Josh assists companies, management teams, shareholders, and investors on a wide range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, disposals, private equity, company reorganisations, restructuring, and refinancing.
Josh previously sat in the Construction and Engineering team, working on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
The areas of construction and engineering law Josh has been involved in include site remediation, hospitals, waste management facilities, sports stadia, education, and commercial development.

Josh also has experience acting on a range of commercial property matters including freehold disposals, leasehold transactions, and secured lending.
Josh has acted on a wide range of landlord and tenant matters and has experience acting for both landlords and tenants in lease renewals, initial grants of leases, licences for alteration, rent deposit deeds, and surrenders.
Josh is also experienced in real estate finance, with acting for commercial lenders and assisting with the provision of advice on secured lending and refinance transactions across a mix of commercial and residential portfolios.
He also has experience assisting with the property elements of high value company disposals.
In addition to the above, Josh also actively contributes to the firm’s broader initiatives. Josh sits on Ward Hadaway‘s Social Values Committee, where he plays a key role in shaping the firm’s strategy for community engagement and charitable giving. Josh also sits on the Graduate Recruitment LinkedIn Committee, ensuring that prospective applicants gain insightful and authentic perspectives on trainee-life at the firm through carefully curated posts on LinkedIn.
