Nomad Digital, the world’s leading provider of wireless connectivity and ICT solutions to the rail industry, is now based at One Trinity Gardens on Newcastle’s Quayside.

Property lawyers from Ward Hadaway in Newcastle provided legal advice to the hi-tech firm on its move to the 10,313 sq ft offices from its previous HQ at nearby Baltic Chambers.

The new larger premises, which have been taken on a six-year lease, offer Nomad Digital further capacity to grow the current 85 employee workforce based on Tyneside. The company also has offices in the USA, Australia, Germany and Portugal.

Nomad offers a broad solutions portfolio to both train operators and builders that facilitates a significantly enhanced passenger experience. The integration of Nomad products and services into the on-train environment improves levels of passenger and train connectivity, provides journey information and entertainment facilities and increases the in-service time and operational efficiency of the fleet.

Customers include transport operators and train manufacturers across the UK, Europe, Australia and North America.

Tessa Petrides, Associate Solicitor in the Occupiers and Investors team, part of the property department at Ward Hadaway, provided legal advice to Nomad Digital on its move to the new HQ.

Tessa said: “It is very rewarding to have been able to play a part in this successful move for Nomad Digital.

“As a growing global business, it was important for Nomad Digital to secure premises which enabled it to expand further whilst keeping its roots on Tyneside.

“We are delighted to have helped the company to do this and I am sure the new offices will help Nomad Digital continue to make further inroads into the transport information sector.”

Giles Kerrush, Group General Counsel at Nomad Digital, said: “Finding the right premises for our new HQ and getting them on the right terms was very important for us as we look to continue growing the business.

“Tessa and the team at Ward Hadaway did a great job in helping to negotiate with our landlords and securing the best deal for the company.

“The staff at Nomad Digital are really pleased with the new offices, which provide the right environment for us to get on with the business and to serve our customers from around the world.”
