Further boost for in-demand Corporate team

LAW firm Ward Hadaway has further strengthened its in-demand Corporate team with the recruitment of experienced dealmaker James Nightingale.

James Nightingale Leeds vert July13James (pictured), who joins the firm as an Associate, has over 10 years of experience of acting for private and public companies on an extensive variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, fundraisings, investments, reorganisations and restructurings.

His recruitment comes as Ward Hadaway’s Corporate team sees a surge in demand for its services with £1.5bn worth of deals being advised on in the last 18 months.

James has advised clients on transactions in a broad spectrum of sectors, with particular expertise in the healthcare, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Recent deals he has advised on include the management buy-out of a gas supply business, the acquisition of an international oil and gas consultancy business for a FTSE 100 company and a venture capital investment for an owner managed healthcare provider.

James’ experience also includes acting for a homecare provider on a series of acquisitions and advising a public limited company on the disposal of its UK highways management and maintenance business.

Speaking on his appointment at Ward Hadaway, James said: “I am delighted to be joining a firm which I already know well from my work on a variety of corporate deals.
