Jonathan is a Partner in our Corporate team and is based in our Leeds office.
He has experience of both public and private company work including Initial Public Offers, acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations and restructurings, takeovers and acting for both management and private equity houses on private equity transactions.
Jonathan is referred to as a “name to note for private and public company work” in the Legal 500 and has been described in leading legal directory Chambers and Partners as being “experienced across a wide range of transactional matters” and “praised by market sources for his high attention to detail and effectiveness”.
Jonathan studied European law at the University of Warwick, spending his third year studying law in Lille, France and Saarbrücken, Germany.

Recent transactions which Jonathan has worked on include:
- Acting for the shareholders of garden landscaping products business Kelkay Limited on its £40m sale to New York Stock Exchange-listed Griffon Corporation
- Acting for British Garden Centres on the acquisition of a portfolio of sites
- Acting for the management team on the second phase of the management buyout of Yorkshire based caravan and motorhome manufacturer Swift Group
- Acting for Communisis on its £154m recommended takeover by US-based acquirer OSG Group
