Video: Mental health and wellbeing – a discussion
1st October, 2021
Mental health and wellbeing in the workplace has been on many Board agendas for a number of years now, but the pandemic has brought this issue into sharper focus than ever.
The impact of working from home, of stress and uncertainty, of financial worries and family commitments, of social isolation and technological barriers – this perfect storm means businesses are exploring how best to protect and support their workforce, something which is in their commercial interests as well as fulfilling a duty of care.
As part of a series of webinars on wellness and in advance of World Mental Health Day next week, Open North Foundation hosted a free webinar, chaired by Ward Hadaway’s Colin Hewitt, to discuss this topic. They included three great speakers to set the scene, and then to answer your questions during a Q&A:
Newcastle Falcons coach Dean Richards
Ex-Scotland Rugby International Ally Hogg, now a wealth manager at Barclays
Jamie Gamble, an employment law partner at Ward Hadaway
