Private client specialist joins Ward Hadaway as partner
16th December, 2025
Top UK law firm Ward Hadaway has strengthened its private client team with the appointment of solicitor Louise Miller, who joins the firm as a partner.
Louise brings almost 20 years’ experience advising individuals, families and business owners on estate planning, wills, powers of attorney, trusts and probate matters. Her practice spans traditional private client work through to complex succession planning for entrepreneurs and owners of growing companies, as well as long-term support for individuals who want guidance in managing their personal affairs.
She joins at a period of continued expansion for the firm following the summer merger with Teesside’s Endeavour Partnership and the opening of a Birmingham office earlier this year.
Alison Hall, Head of Private Client, said: “Louise is a highly respected adviser with extensive experience across the full spectrum of estate planning and wealth protection. Her work with business owners adds an important dimension to our team and complements our existing strengths.
“As the private client offering continues to grow across our regional offices, her arrival supports our long-term ambition to build a market leading service for individuals and families throughout the UK.”
Louise qualified in 2006 and has specialised exclusively in private client law throughout her career. Before joining Ward Hadaway, she was a partner at Weightmans, advising clients nationally as part of its private wealth team.
Louise Miller said: “The opportunity to join Ward Hadaway’s private client team was something I couldn’t turn down. I have known and admired the team’s work for many years and knew immediately that it was the right environment for me – collaborative, experienced and genuinely committed to clients.
“It’s also a really exciting time for the firm and there’s been real investment in private client services and the wider business. I’m looking forward to contributing to the next phase of growth, particularly around advising business owners on long-term succession planning.”
Louise joins partners Alison Hall and Andrew Facer in leading the Newcastle-based wills, trusts and estates team. The team works closely with financial planners and tax advisers to provide integrated support for clients across the UK.
Steven Petrie, Managing Partner of Ward Hadaway, said: “Louise’s appointment reflects the momentum we are building across the firm as we continue to invest in our people and core services. Strengthening our private client expertise is an important part of that and Louise brings the experience and capability that supports where we are heading as a business.”
