3rd October, 2025

Sabina Kauser, Partner in our Employment team, has been appointed Deputy Vice President of Birmingham Law Society (BLS).
Sabina Kauser, who specialises in immigration law, will take up the Vice President role next year and will become President in 2027. Her appointment was recently confirmed at the BLS Annual General Meeting.
Based in Ward Hadaway’s Birmingham office, Sabina is recognised as a leading immigration specialist in the West Midlands. She advises both organisations and high-net-worth individuals on complex immigration matters, an area of growing importance to employers across the region.
She brings more than 20 years’ experience in immigration and human rights law, having worked in private practice across the Midlands before joining Ward Hadaway in 2025. Sabina previously founded and ran her own firm, Kausers Solicitors, and has held senior roles with several Birmingham practices. She is also Chair of the Immigration Committee at Birmingham Law Society and a Council member of the Society.
Steven Petrie, Managing Partner at Ward Hadaway, said: “This is a fantastic recognition of Sabina’s standing in the profession and her commitment to supporting the legal community in Birmingham. Since joining Ward Hadaway she has made an immediate impact, both in strengthening our immigration team and in building connections across the region. We are proud to see her take on this leadership role and know she will bring the same energy, expertise and passion to the Society as she does to her work with our clients.”

Alongside her professional work, Sabina is a Board Member of Leigh Trust, a multi-academy trust in Birmingham and is active in mentoring and community engagement across the city.
Sabina Kauser said: “I’m honoured to have been appointed Deputy Vice President of Birmingham Law Society. The Society plays an important role in supporting our profession and giving the Birmingham legal community a strong voice. Having served on its Council and as Chair of the Immigration Committee, I’ve seen first-hand the difference it makes, and I’m excited to continue contributing in this new role. I look forward to working with colleagues across the region to promote excellence, inclusivity and collaboration in the years ahead.”
Sabina’s appointment highlights Ward Hadaway’s growing presence in the West Midlands, where the firm continues to expand its offering to clients across property development, housing finance, immigration law and other key practice areas.
