Somer started her training contract with Ward Hadaway in September 2025 and is currently a Trainee sitting in the Commercial Litigation department in Teesside.
Somer graduated from the University of Manchester in 2024 with an Upper Second Class Honours degree in Law. She went on to complete her Master of Laws in Legal Practice incorporating the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University, finishing in August 2025. During her LPC LLM, she dedicated her dissertation to contract law, focusing on the evolution of the doctrine of good faith under English contract law.
She is particularly enthusiastic about commercial litigation as it allows her to engage with complex contractual disputes and apply her academic interest in contract law to real world challenges. Somer looks forward to building a strong foundation of legal expertise while working closely with clients and colleagues to achieve practical and rewarding outcomes.
