Liam is a second year Trainee Solicitor in our Corporate team, based in our Leeds office.

Liam previously sat in the Real Estate team, with his experience including:

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of Land Registry applications, including registering leases, easements, deeds of release, freehold disposals, first registrations and restrictions.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and reporting on documents such as leases, Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 exclusion notices, statements of truth, and indemnity insurance policies.
  • Conducting due diligence exercises including reviewing titles, restrictions, and planning agreements, and preparing reports on title.
  • Supporting property finance matters by drafting legal charges and reviewing residential and commercial tenancy agreements across property portfolios for lender clients.
  • Calculating and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax returns for a variety of transactions.
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, insurance brokers, and other legal representatives to progress transactions.

Prior to that, Liam sat in the Commercial Litigation team. He gained experience assisting both individuals and businesses in resolving a variety of commercial disputes, across a number of different sectors. Assisted clients at all stages of the dispute resolution process, ranging from the pre-action stage to trial, and has helped to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions to resolve disputes.

Liam assisted with a wide range of commercial disputes including:

  • Contractual disputes;
  • Debt claims;
  • Shareholder and Director disputes;
  • Intellectual Property disputes;
  • Share purchase agreement / breach of warranty disputes;
  • Personal Guarantee disputes; and
  • Disputes involving Restrictive Covenants in employment contracts

Liam is a member of the Trainee Social Committee. he attends various law fairs and careers dinners, as well as hosting various work placement students in the Leeds office, providing feedback and insight into the legal profession and life at Ward Hadaway.
