Kara is currently a Trainee sitting in the Social Housing Litigation Team in our Newcastle office.
Kara completed the Law LLB at Cardiff University, and the International Trade and Commercial Law LLM at Durham University where she was awarded the LLM Student Prize for outstanding performance. Kara has also successfully completed the SQE examinations. During her postgraduate studies, she developed a particular interest in dispute resolution, exploring international dispute settlement though a comparative analysis of the WTO dispute settlement system and investor-state arbitration.
Before commencing her training contract, Kara gained invaluable experience as a corporate financial services and disputes paralegal working across both regulatory and contentious matters.
Kara is interested in both Corporate law and Commercial Litigation, and she looks forward to developing her experience across both contentious and non-contentious areas, gaining exposure to both transactional work and commercial disputes.
