Experience

Deborah has experience of advising clients in connection with the preparation of their wills and with respect to estate, succession and inheritance tax planning, often involving the creation and administration of trusts.

She is also experienced in advising the older client generally including preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney, issues of capacity and applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of a Deputy and acting in the ongoing deputyship.

Deborah has acted on behalf of executors and personal representatives in the administration of estates, including high value and complex estates. This often involves the implementation of tax planning commenced by the deceased during lifetime.

She assists our Contentious Probate litigation team as deeds of variation often provide the appropriate mechanism to resolve disputes that can arise amongst family members.
