Nathan is an Associate in the commercial team, providing advice on commercial arrangements and contracts, with particular experience in respect of ICT and education.

He provides advice to clients looking to enter into new trading arrangements or looking to further develop existing relationships. He acts for both suppliers and customers in respect of IT products and services.

Nathan’s clients include local authorities and other public sector bodies, PLCs, SMEs and entrepreneurs.


Nathan has been part of legal teams providing on-demand and project-based ICT assistance to large ICT suppliers, and major FinTech and public utility companies.

He has also worked in-house with ICT supplier clients and supported client IT departments in licensing of products and development services.

He has experience of both sides of the procurement process where both goods and services are to be provided to public sector bodies, including acting for the bidders of mobile infrastructure, surveillance services and ICT framework contracts, including advising on submissions for Crown Commercial Services’ G-Cloud framework.

Nathan regularly advises clients on the supply of goods and services, and the use of agency and distribution arrangements, from providing tailor-made standard terms of business, to complex arrangements for worldwide distribution of goods and services.

He has acted on both sides of the academy conversion process, including providing corporate and company secretarial assistance to Multi Academy Trusts.  He has also provided advice on the formation and reorganisation of Academy Trusts.

Nathan acted for a local authority in the creation of a Community Interest Company to take over the operation of leisure facilities within the area, and for a local authority in respect of a building development they had provided funds for where the developer had become insolvent.

He has acted Edu-Tech clients providing solutions to the education sector, including acting for a company in the transfer of educational software from a developer employee.
