Claire is an associate in the Insolvency and Corporate Recovery team.

Claire has nearly 10 years’ experience dealing with all aspects of contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring work and she has acted for a wide range of commercial and private clients, including creditors, debtors, administrators, liquidators and trustees in bankruptcy.

Experience

Claire acts on behalf of office holders in relation to matters to such as antecedent transactions, unlawful dividends claims, misfeasance/breach of duty claims and debt claims.

Claire also acts on behalf of private clients in relation to matters including statutory demands and bankruptcy petitions, bankruptcy annulment applications and negotiating the settlement/resolution of trustee in bankruptcy and liquidator claims.

Her work includes non-contentious advisory and transactional work including advising lenders on the validity and enforceability of security, pre-pack administration sales and purchases, advising directors on their duties in distressed/insolvency situations and advising creditors in connection with their rights pre and post insolvency.

Her experience also includes dealing with property-related insolvency matters, including advising commercial landlords on their rights in relation to insolvent tenant companies.
