VIDEO: Housing Management Law School Autumn Term 2023

The Law School is free to attend and exists to deliver training to Registered Providers of Social Housing across the country, educating and updating their housing management staff with the essential legal knowledge that they need.

Our regular round up of all things current and topical in the ever changing works of housing management law.

Hot Topic : Renters Reform Bill

The Renters Reform Bill is the most radical shake up to housing law in 35 years. Currently making its way through Parliament it proposes to abolish fixed term assured tenancies and assured shorthold tenancies; impose obligations on landlords and others in relation to rented homes and temporary and supported accommodation; and will amongst other things change the law about how social landlords can take action in relation to shared ownership leases.

Social Landlords need to be aware of the proposed changes and how they might impact on policies and procedures for both current and existing occupants.

Revision Topic : Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Video Evidence*
