What are the benefits of these roles being on the Shortage Occupation List?

Essentially, it will be easier, quicker and cheaper for social care employers to recruit eligible workers to fill vital gaps in their workforce.

For instance, applicants for these roles on the Shortage Occupation List will only require a minimum annual salary of £20,480, as opposed to the standard minimum annual salary of £25,600.

In addition, as these roles qualify for the Health and Care Worker visa, applicants and their dependents will benefit from fast-tracked processing (with most applications processed within 3 weeks), as well as a 50% visa fee reduction and exemption from the Immigration Health Surcharge.
