Law firm helps deliver funding injection to healthcare company

LAW firm Ward Hadaway has advised on an investment in a Teesside healthcare specialist.
Corporate finance experts from the Newcastle office of Ward Hadaway provided legal advice to Rivers Capital Partners on the investment from the Finance for Business North East Fund in Acculabs Diagnostics.
Acculabs operates from offices and laboratories in Wynyard and Brighton and is one of the UK’s leading private providers of pathology services, such as testing and screening services.
The funding will enable the company to pursue its growth and job creation plans over the next few years.
Imogen Holland, Partner in the Corporate Finance department at Ward Hadaway in Newcastle, led the firm’s team advising Rivers Capital Partners on the transaction.

Companies which received backing included a social network for motorcyclists, an explosives manufacturer and a flavoured coffee bean producer.
