John is a Solicitor in our Property Litigation Team.

John provides assistance to the team and wider firm clients on a range matters in connection with real property and commercial leasehold disputes. In particular, John deals with drafting and advising on the service of break notices and other property notices (such as ’54 Act notices), advising on interpretation of property contracts (including leases and deeds), advising on boundary/adverse possession issues, service charge claims, dilapidations, rights to light as well as easements and covenants. John also has experience in assisting with property related professional negligence.

Experience

  • Assisted in respect of a boundary dispute which proceeded to the County Court
  • Assisted in relation to a claim for professional negligence made against various parties following the construction of a car sales site which was not fit for purpose
  • Acted for multiple tenants by drafting break notices enabling them to terminate their leases
  • Assisted in providing advice on a wide range of aspects of property law generally including disputes concerning rights to light, dilapidations, service charges as well as in relation to easements, covenants and points of interpretation.
