Vicki is a Partner and the Head of the Debt Unit which specialises in the recovery of debts across a diverse number of sectors. She has over 17 years' debt recovery experience. As well as overseeing the delivery of volume services, Vicki manages the complex caseload across the Debt unit. She previously qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2008.

Vicki oversees the Debt Unit ensuring that client delivery is at an excellent standard.   She is also a highly experienced debt recovery practitioner  with strong legal and procedural knowledge.  Her detailed knowledge ensures a smooth recovery process.  Vicki is typically involved in more complex aspects of cases and has conduct of a diverse and complex debt recovery caseload.   She deals with cases involving counterclaims, disputed guarantees, deceased debtors, disputed liability, contractual disputes, unfair contract terms, debtors in different jurisdictions, material specification and misrepresentation.

Experience

Vicki is able to provide a full litigation service including the issue of county court claims, statutory demands, bankruptcy, winding up petitions and the handling of disputed and complex cases.

She has previously offered hands on support to clients in order to develop their credit control function to ensure effective pre-action steps prior to commencement of court proceedings.

Vicki frequently delivers bespoke presentations and training sessions to a variety of sectors.   Most recently she has delivered a presentation on Breathing Space and Statutory Debt Repayment Schemes to several audiences across differing sectors.  Vicki has received positive feedback about her detailed knowledge of current issues and for the practical advice given.

Vicki is well known for her practical and commercial advice and is always easily accessible to clients.

  • Expiry of winding up restrictions

    After a very long wait for creditors during a difficult economic period, the restrictions placed on Winding Up actions, introduced in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, have expired on 31 March 2022.
