Lynn is an HR Consultant within the Employment Law Team at Ward Hadaway.
Lynn is an HR generalist with over 14 years’ experience in HR across a number of sectors including sales and marketing, retail, law and third sector.
Lynn’s previous roles before working for Ward Hadaway have all been generalist roles and her remit has included employee relations, recruitment and selection, training and development and employee benefits.
Lynn commenced her employment at Ward Hadaway managing the HR department on an interim basis whilst the incumbent HR Manager was on maternity leave. Following the return of the HR Manager Lynn moved to the client facing side of the business and took on the new role of HR Consultant in the Employment Law Team.
Lynn currently works alongside the Employment Solicitors providing an HR service to clients which complements the legal advice provided by our solicitors. The HR service she provides ranges from strategic one-off projects to specific secondments and day to day telephone advice.
Projects on which she has advised on include:
- Providing strategic HR advice to the Managing Director of a national organisation following the departure of the previous HR Director. The project included reviewing the HR infrastructure within the business, recruiting for the HR team and supporting the HR team on day to day HR issues.
- Providing a retained HR management service to a business with no HR team where the day to day HR issues were devolved to the line. This involved spending time at the client’s premises, liaising with the senior management team and managers and attending regular management meetings. Lynn also provided day to day telephone support to managers, guiding them through HR processes.
- Providing a range of Generalist HR support to the HR Manager of a business well known within the region to assist with a sustained period of increased HR activity within the business.
