Laura is an Associate in the Insolvency and Corporate Recovery team and is based in the Newcastle office.

She has nearly 10 years’ experience in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency  with an emphasis on contentious matters, dealing with both personal and corporate insolvency issues.

Laura has previously been In-House Counsel to an insolvency practitioner, enabling her to look at things from both sides of a dispute.

Experience

Laura’s experience includes:

  • Advising directors on their duties in a pre and post-insolvency context, as well as advising companies in critical pre insolvency situations.
  • Presenting and defending bankruptcy petitions, advising on bankruptcy annulments, recovery of real property from bankrupts and acting on behalf of individual debtors
  • Advising office holders in respect of antecedent transactions, misfeasance claims, void dispositions and trust and tracing claims.
