Andrew is a Solicitor in the Employment department based in Newcastle.
Andrew provides advice on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law to a wide range of public and private sector organisations such as start-up businesses through to large public companies as well as charities, NHS organisations and education providers. As well as acting for employers, Andrew acts for individuals in respect of negotiating settlements and bringing Employment Tribunal claims.
Andrew advises employers on employment contracts, policies and procedures, settlement agreements and provides daily advice and assistance to organisations with a view to minimising the risk of litigation. In addition to this, Andrew has experience in defending Employment Tribunal claims, working closely with clients to develop strategies and achieve positive outcomes.
Andrew is a member of the healthcare team advising NHS trusts, GP practices, dental practices and other healthcare organisations on a variety of employment law issues.
Andrew also supports on corporate transactions, advising on the due diligence process and any employment law issues that may come out of this, such as TUPE issues, National Minimum Wage issues or potential claims.
