Adele specialises in healthcare law and provides advice to NHS Trusts and healthcare professionals on mental health law, capacity, consent, confidentiality, inquests and serious incident investigations.
Adele assists NHS Trusts in the preparation of Applications to the Court of Protection for treatment of incapacitated patients and DOLS authorisations.
Adele has represented NHS Trusts at Inquests, including, sensitive inquests involving suicides of mental health patients, Article 2 and Jury Inquests.
Adele acts for NHS Resolution and NHS Trusts on a broad range of clinical negligence claims, including birth injury claims, amputation, delay in diagnosing cancer, surgical and obstetric injury and claims arising from psychiatric treatment. Adele is a strong advocate of ADR and is experienced at resolving claims through mediation.
She has often been seconded to NHS Resolution and has delivered lectures on clinical negligence.
