During your two year training contract with us you will have the opportunity to complete four placements (know as ‘seats’) of six months each within four of our five departments: Corporate, Commercial, Litigation, Private Client and Property. Your seat choices are extremely important so when we discuss seat allocation with you, we’ll take into account your ambitions and interests as well as the needs of the business.

Training & Support

The training contract itself begins with a two week induction programme to introduce you to the firm, your team, your fellow trainee solicitors and our systems and processes so that you are ready to go when you start your first seat.

During the induction process, you will be assigned a ‘buddy’ who will show you around and provide you with support and a point of contact for any questions you may have. Your buddy will be a second year trainee and is therefore best placed to understand what starting life as a trainee is really like. Once in your seat, you will work through a structured programme, perform real work and your supervisor will oversee your development over the next six months, providing you with feedback and carrying out regular reviews.

Throughout the two-year contract you will receive a multitude of training including attendance at the Professional Skills Course (PSC) and the opportunity to attend regular legislation update seminars.
