At Ward Hadaway, we aspire to hire the best.

It is fundamental to us that we meet as many students / graduates throughout the year as possible, so we can share with them what makes a career at Ward Hadaway so distinctive.

Our Graduate Recruitment Team is made up of lawyers from all departments and offices, all of whom are more than happy to share their experiences and knowledge. Our People Team are also always on hand to talk you through our application processes and answer any other questions, however big or small.

Over the year, we provide a number of opportunities for you to come and meet us;

Annual Law Careers Fairs – each Autumn we aim to have a presence at as many University Graduate Law Fairs in the North of England.

This is a great opportunity for you to meet our first and second year Trainees, Associates and Partners as well as members from our People Team. Meeting and speaking one on one with our Trainee’s provides an insight into the application and selection process as well what to expect during a Training Contract at Ward Hadaway

Assessment Centres for Training Contracts and Vacation Schemes – each Spring, for those successful with their Vacation Scheme and Training Contract application, will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre.

This gives you the chance to showcase your skills, experience and personal qualities as well your drive to join Ward Hadaway and be a part of  its continuing success.

If you have any questions around our Training Contracts or Vacation Schemes please email:

Work Experience – Work Experience is available and offered throughout the year to school students, university students and graduates.

You can expect to be hosted by a different trainee each day, which gives you the opportunity to experience up to 5 departments in a week.  In our Leeds & Manchester offices, we offer 3 day placements and in our Newcastle office we are able to offer up to 5 days.

Please note, although we try to accommodate as many candidates as possible, spaces fill up very quickly. To enquire about arranging work experience with us, send an expression of interest to us by email to
