The series will run throughout 2023 providing attendees with up to date information on key Data Protection topics. The short one hour sessions will be delivered by our experts with allocated time for you to ask any questions you may have.

14 March: Data security
Practical discussion of data security; what it means and how to be compliant with UK GDPR.
16 May: Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
How to deal with DSARs – from preparing your organisation and team, to responding to the data subject and how to carry out the relevant searches and sorting of data.
4 July: Data protection implications of AI tools
An overview of the legal/regulatory landscape for AI, the data protection challenges and the way forward.
12 September: Marketing and data protection
Looking at restrictions on the use of data businesses have in order to market their products and services including guidance on buying external databases.
17 October: Data transfers – crossing borders
A look at the transfer of data out of the UK and EEA, particularly look at the changes coming in 2024.

Session 2: Data security
The second in our series ‘Data Security’ will take place on Tuesday 14th March at 12.30pm via Zoom.
Damien Charlton will chair this panel event, in discussion with his colleagues Nathan Bilton. They will discuss the importance of data security, offering practical tips on how to be compliant with UK GDPR.
We welcome audience participation, so during registration and via the Q&A feature in Zoom during the event, you will be given the opportunity to pose questions.
