WH In-House Contract law update
21st March 2018
Join us on Wednesday 21st March at our central Leeds office when we will welcome back Professor Ewan McKendrick, a leading authority on contract law, to deliver our annual Contract Law Update – specifically designed with in-house lawyers in mind.
Professor McKendrick (Registrar of the University of Oxford, Professor of English Private Law and an editor of Chitty on Contracts) will provide you with an update on recently decided cases relating to topics such as:
- Formation of contracts (such as agreements to agree)
- Interpretation of contracts
- Implication of terms
- Drafting of exclusion and limitation clauses
- Liquidated damages clauses
- Assessment of damages for breach of a contract
During the session we will discuss in detail how and why these cases are important, so this update will be of great benefit to all in-house lawyers who advise on contract law matters on a regular basis. Please note, the session will also contribute towards your continuing competence and professional development.
This seminar is aimed specifically at in-house lawyers, we therefore reserve the right to turn down registrations.
