Join us at this free seminar in Leeds on Tuesday 12th November where you will be provided with a practical update on IT and digital transformation within the NHS.
Our highly regarded legal team will be joined by expert speakers Dr Joe McDonald (Consultant Psychiatrist, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and Director of Connected Health Cities, North East and North Cumbria) and Chris Emery (Consultant with 40 years IT experience and expert witness in large and challenging IT cases) who, together with our own in-house experts, will discuss a number of relevant topics, including:

Dr Joe McDonald
Practicing Consultant Psychiatrist and Deputy Medical Director / Chief Clinical Information Officer at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. Joe leads the Great North Care Records initiative, as well as working as Director of Connected Health Cities, North East & North Cumbria. Joe has a special interest in the usability of clinical software and owns comparethesoftware.co.uk and is currently the UK’s most widely read IT columnist for Joe’s View (Digital Health).
Chris Emery, Principal Charteris Consulting
Formerly with Logica Chris has many years’ experience advising on, creating and driving the delivery of effective solutions to business problems, in and around IT, including in the NHS and Social Care. Chris now acts as a consultant and expert witness in large and challenging IT cases with over 40 years of IT experience.
Tim Toomey, Ward Hadaway
Tim is a partner in Ward Hadaway’s commercial litigation team, winner of the Legal 500 award for Dispute Resolution Firm of the Year (outside London) in 2019. Tim has long been recognised (Chambers and Legal 500) as a leading figure in the field of IT disputes and has extensive experience of both the private and public sectors, including NHS procurement.
Melanie Pears, Ward Hadaway
Melanie is a contracting and procurement expert with over 25 years’ experience in delivering complex outsourcings including in relation to IT, digital services and innovative products and outcomes. Melanie has also helped avoid and resolve a number of issues arising from poor performance delayed implementation and challenging exits / expiries of IT contracts.
