This seminar is specifically aimed at in-house counsel and any who are responsible for data protection in their organisation.
You will hear the latest advice, guidance and commentary from Dave Clancy, Investigations Manager at the ICO. Dave will provide an update on a range of topics affecting businesses, including:
- What’s new in the last year: the revised CCTV code, monetary penalties changes, privacy seals and audit powers.
- The ICO’s approach to consent (marketing and the wider context)
- Other news and updates from the ICO
Ward Hadaway’s Judy Baker, a specialist in data protection and member of the CBI steering group, will then provide a brief overview and update on the progress towards the much-talked-about revised regulation from Europe.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions of Dave and Judy on topics affecting you and your organisation.
