I am delighted to invite you to our free annual data protection update with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). This event will take place on Thursday 1st October at our Leeds office from 8.30am – 10.30am.
This seminar is specifically aimed at in-house counsel and any who are responsible for data protection in their organisation.
At the event you will hear the latest advice, gudiance and commentary from Dave Clancy, Investigations Manager at the ICO and from Ward Hadaway’s Gareth Yates, a specialist in data protection.
The event will provide an update on a range of topics affecting organisations arising from data protection developments during the last year, including:
- Monetary penalties charges
- Privacy seals
- Audit powers
- The revised CCTV code
- The ICO’s approach to consent (marketing and the wider context)
- Update on the progress of the revised Data Protection Regulation
Ward Hadaway’s Gareth Yates, a specialist in data protection, will then provide a brief overview and update on the progress towards the revised data protection regulation from Europe and the impact of the EU referendum.
