Join us at our annual WH In-House Legal Update designed specifically for In-House lawyers, to learn about the key legal issues you need to be aware of for 2020, as well as hearing from Professor Ewan McKendrick as he discusses the latest developments in contract law.
This free session will provide practical insights and key legal updates relevant to all in-house lawyers. The event will also include a networking lunch and an opportunity for you to pose your questions to our legal experts, as well as contributing towards your continuing competence and professional development.
The morning session will be centred around our annual Contract Law Update, presented by special guest speaker Professor Ewan McKendrick, a leading authority on contract law.
The afternoon will provide an overview of three important legal issues you need to be aware of in 2020:
- Understanding the SRA rules
- A refresh on TUPE
- Implications of Brexit on Intellectual Property
Ewan McKendrick, BCL, MA, LLP (Edinburgh), Barrister of Gray’s Inn is Registrar of the University of Oxford, Professor of English Private Law and Fellow of Lady Margaret Hall. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of International Banking and Regulation law. Ewan specialises in commercial law, contract law and international trade and has published many books on the subjects including The Creation of a European law of Contracts and Transnational Commercial law: International instruments and commentary.
