Housing Management Law School – Spring 2016 (LEEDS)
19th April 2016
It's time for colleagues to return to the classroom for the ever popular (and free of charge!) Ward Hadaway Housing Management Law School taking place across our Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester offices in April.
This is now the seventh semester for our series of Law Schools. Spring term sees a brand new programme, with our experts covering up to the minute topics. There will also be a chance to brush up on existing skills and knowledge.
The Law School exists to deliver training to Registered Providers of Social Housing across the country and to educate and update their housing management staff with the legal knowledge that they need.
The session will deliver:
- Housing Law News Round Up
What’s happened, what’s about to happen and what might happen.
- Hot Topic: Mental Capacity and tenancies
Examining in particular how we can legally start and end tenancies for tenants without mental capacity.
- Revision Session: Disrepair
Reminding us of obligations to repair our rented stock, and how to guard our organisations against litigation.
- Ask the Experts
Q&A and Case Surgery
This promises to be another stimulating and thought-provoking session, where we will provide you with an update on recent significant cases that you need to be aware of and changes to legislation.
