Gross Negligence Manslaughter seminar
30th July 2019
The General Medical Council (GMC) commissioned an independent review in 2018 to consider how the laws of gross negligence manslaughter and culpable homicide are applied to medical practice.
The review was chaired by Leslie Hamilton, a former Consultant Cardiac Surgeon and HMC Assistant Coroner, and the final report was published in June 2019.
We are delighted to have Leslie join us on Tuesday 30th July at our Newcastle Quayside office where he will give a fascinating insight into the findings of the working group as to how the system currently operates and the recommendations aimed at achieving a just and fair culture when things go wrong.
This session will benefit Chief Executives, Medical Directors, Clinical Leads, those responsible for investigating incidents and liaising with family members following a death, Claims and Inquest Managers, Nursing directors as well as Training and Education Leads. We therefore reserve the right to turn down registrations.
