GDPR – the countdown begins – additional date (NEWCASTLE)
06th June 2017
Please note that this seminar is now fully booked. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please contact Chloe Atkinson on email@example.com
The General Data Protection Regulation comes into force on 25th May 2018. It represents a significant tightening of how many businesses will be required to manage their business lifeblood – data – with much stiffer penalties if they breach. Is your business prepared?
Join us at this free breakfast seminar, just under a year before it comes into force, where we will give you an update on many of the key issues including:
- What does GDPR mean to my business?
- What things do I need in place by next year to comply?
- Do I need to appoint a Data Protection Officer?
- What will constitute a breach, and what will I be required to do?
- What rights do individuals have?
The ICO has been issuing ongoing and updated information over the course of the last year, and this seminar will provide a perfect opportunity to find out the latest guidance behind this significant change in legislation. Hear from partners Phil Tompkins and Dean Murray, who are both working on GDPR audits and compliance programmes with a number of businesses, and who can bring those experiences to bear on this session.
Aimed at senior management and in-house counsel, this seminar will help inform you, and enable you to assess the real impact that GDPR is likely to have on your own business.
We expect a significant take up for this event, and are limiting places to two per organisation. Please register early to avoid disappointment.
This event is aimed at in-house counsel and senior management. We therefore reserve the right to turn down registration applications.
