What will be covered
The importance of safeguarding in education, staff roles and responsibilities. There will also be an update on the most recent Department for Education guidance and issues.
Local Government Pension Schemes
Issues around the creation, merger and dissolution of academy trusts and multi-academy trusts, including pooling agreements, exit charges and liabilities arising.
Managing sickness absence in your schools
We will look at recent case law, best practice, common issues faced and there will be an opportunity to discuss potential problems that you may face.
Personal data – understanding the operational risks in the school system
Ward Hadaway is engaging with the DfE data and schools policy teams in support of the development of a strategy relating to GDPR implementation in the sector. This session will focus on the key risks and how these can be addressed whether collaboratively or through individual school/Trust prioritisation.
