When Auto-enrolment goes wrong

With fast-growing numbers of employers reaching their staging dates for auto-enrolment each month, the Pensions Regulator is investigating ever more instances of the process going wrong, with employers failing in their communication duties or in their duties to pay contributions in respect of the correct jobholders. The pensions industry has also noted that increasing numbers of employers are going AWOL and not engaging with the process when they were expected to do so.
Industry experts will explain:
- How auto-enrolment has been enforced to date and how this may evolve in future
- How employer should act when aware of potential non-compliance and how they should respond to an investigation
- How to avoid common problems in the first instance
The Pensions Regulator will join Ward Hadaway’s Pensions and Regulatory teams to clarify the issues and provide best practice.
This seminar will be of value to all employers whether they have staged or not, as well as of value to advisers who may be the first port of call for an employer facing an investigation.
