Alternative Sources of Funding – what’s best for your business? (LEEDS)
17th October 2017
Raising finance is fundamental to building and growing a successful business, and there are now more sources and options than ever before.
This free breakfast seminar from Ward Hadaway is a chance to map out this funding labyrinth, and hear from representatives of some of the alternative sources that are shaping the funding marketplace today. We have secured a broad range of speakers representing a number of different approaches, including:
- Rick Hyland from rebuildingsociety.com, a local peer to business lending platform
- Jeremy Meadowcroft from Business Enterprise Fund, a finance provider that manages the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund’s Microfinance fund
- Martin Avison from Angel Groups, which connects HNW angel investors with businesses looking for equity investments
- Rob Pailin from Assetz Capital, a peer-to-peer lending group
We will hear from each panellist about the pros and cons of their particular funding route, and you will then get the opportunity to ask your own questions of the experts present.
Seen originally as the path of last resort for those whose proposition was too risky for traditional funders to support, alternative funding now represents some diverse and innovative opportunities. This seminar will help to inform you of the alternative finance options available, and which ones are right for your business.
