David sits as Legal Adviser to the Professional Conduct and Competence Committees of the General Teaching Council for England, advising Committee members on the law, rules and procedures relevant to their hearings.

He also appears as advocate on behalf of the General Social Care Council to prosecute allegations of misconduct against Social Workers.

He has over 30 years experience of advocacy and has appeared at inquests and medical tribunals.

David is fully trained in cognitive interviewing techniques and conversation management.

David has extensive experience of criminal proceedings in the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and Court of Appeal. He appeared as an advocate on a daily basis in courts and tribunals.

He has also prosecuted care proceedings for the NSPCC and has appeared before High Court and County Court District Judges in family proceedings.
