Andrew qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and throughout his career has practised as a corporate lawyer advising a range of quoted and unquoted companies, institutions and entrepreneurs on corporate, commercial and banking matters.

Andrew has spent much of his recent career involved in law firm management and practice development.

Over the last ten years has been involved in substantial growth of business both within and outside of the North East.

He leads the firm’s current expansion plans outside of the North East.

He has held a high profile position within the legal profession having been identified in the past as one of “Hot 100” lawyers and “legal personality of the north” by two of the leading legal periodicals - The Lawyer and Legal Business.

Andrew has an interest in education, acting as a trustee to Sunderland University, sitting on the advisory board of Newcastle University’s law faculty, being a governor to Newcastle School for Boys and having previously sat as a governor of New College, Durham.
