Tim has more than 26 years’ experience in employment law and was previously Head of the Employment Unit at Crutes law firm.

He acts for a variety of organisations in both the public and private sectors in contentious and non-contentious matters.

He is a member of both the Employment Lawyers Association and the Employment Tribunals Users Committee and is highly rated by the independent legal directories, Chambers and Legal 500. 

Experience

Tim is a regular advocate at tribunals throughout the UK and has represented clients for over 26 years before tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal. Reported cases include Close –v- Newcastle Mind, Clare –v- Durham Health Authority and Campbell –v- Aker Kvaerner Ltd.

He has particular expertise in representing NHS organisations and local authorities.

Tim has a considerable interest in TUPE and has a masters degree based on his dissertation on the issue.

Whilst best known for his contentious work, Tim undertakes a considerable volume of work with employers to achieve business goals by the use of employment law solutions such as changing terms and conditions and restructuring.
