Marian has specialised in contentious and non-contentious employment law for the last 10 years.
She mainly acts on behalf of employers and has substantial experience of working with unionised workforces.
Marian has also acted on behalf of a number of Local Authorities and Health Authorities.
Experience
Marian regularly appears in the Employment Tribunal and undertakes her own advocacy. She has also appeared in the Employment Appeal Tribunal. She has experience of running training courses on Advocacy and Case Management with Nottingham Law School.
Since the firm’s appointment to act on behalf of the General Teaching Council, she has regularly acted as legal adviser to the professional Conduct Committees and Professional Competence Committees.
In 2002 Marian was appointed to sit as a part time judge of the Employment Tribunal in Newcastle.
