LAW firm Ward Hadaway’s Leeds office has been boosted with a key new appointment, less than a month after opening its doors.

Employment law specialist Harmajinder Hayre joins the firm as a partner.

Harmajinder was previously a partner at Hammonds and at Beachcroft, both in Leeds, and has more than 10 years’ experience in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law.

He has advised on a range of matters including advice to a financial service company on employee aspects of a £2bn outsourcing programme and advising an international engineering company on employee aspects of a major restructuring programme.

Harmajinder regularly advises clients in the retail, financial services and transport sector on strategic collective industrial relations issues.

He is also a regular speaker on employment law issues and has delivered training programmes for clients and contacts.

Ward Hadaway now has a line-up of seven partners and their teams at its office at Wellington Street in Leeds with expertise in construction, property, employment, healthcare, insolvency and corporate recovery.

Together with its operation in Newcastle, the firm employs more than 400 people.
