LEADING North law firm Ward Hadaway has promoted six of its lawyers to the position of partner.

Associates Jamie Gamble, Paul Scope, David Dewar, Alex Wright, Alex Cox and Imogen Holland are now all partners at the firm.

Jamie Gamble and Paul Scope both work in Ward Hadaway’s extensive employment law team, one of the largest of its kind in the North of England.

Jamie has specialised in employment law since 2002 and acts for employers of all sizes from owner-managed businesses to national and multi-national companies and large public bodies. His clients are spread across a variety of sectors but he advises some well known organisations in the pharmaceutical, tourism, charity and rugby union sectors.

Paul advises a wide range of employers, from SMEs to major public bodies and multi-nationals. His clients include household names in the football, consultancy and environmental sectors. He has 10 years’ experience of advising on employment law, including a spell working in-house for a national plc.

David Dewar works in Ward Hadaway’s personal injury team and specialises in a broad range of personal injury matters. He is also head of the Industrial Disease Unit in the team and has extensive experience of occupational diseases including asbestos-related diseases, dermatitis, noise-induced hearing loss, vibration white finger and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Alex Wright and Alex Cox work in the property department at Ward Hadaway and both have extensive experience of dealing with a wide range of property transactions.

Alex Wright advises on a wide range of commercial property issues, including landlord and tenant matters, sales and acquisitions and the property aspects of corporate finance transactions.

Alex Cox focuses on property development and he has undertaken a wide variety of work dealing with all aspects of commercial, residential and mixed-use regeneration and development projects. He also deals with the property aspects of energy projects and has considerable experience of dealing with mines and minerals work.

Imogen Holland is a member of Ward Hadaway’s corporate finance department.

She specialises in advising upon debt and equity fundraising transactions. Imogen regularly advises UK banking institutions, venture capitalists and both regionally and nationally based companies on finance and security issues.

Most recently, Imogen has advised a borrower in the pharmaceutical sector upon multi-million pound acquisition finance facilities and a number of banks in respect of their funding into the healthcare, education and football sectors.
